What You'll Be Doing

As the FP&A Analyst at Ascendx, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our leadership, investors, and portfolio founders with financial clarity and forecasting discipline. You’ll work directly with Ascendx’s Head of Finance to manage budgeting, reporting, and long-range planning across the Ascendx group — which includes CapStorm, GRAX, Ortoo, Documill, and Eposly.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a portfolio-level FP&A function at a high-growth company that is acquiring and scaling multiple Salesforce-native ISVs. You’ll collaborate with both centralized and distributed teams, translating product and go-to-market activity into actionable financial models and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain operating models across the Ascendx portfolio (revenue, expense, headcount, cash)
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing leads to support quarterly planning and forecast cycles
  • Analyze SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, pipeline conversion, sales productivity) across companies
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports for internal stakeholders and investors
  • Track hiring plans, vendor spend, and capital allocation against plan
  • Support financial due diligence and integration for new acquisitions
  • Recommend improvements to budgeting, reporting, and forecasting processes

Skills & Experience

Must-Haves

  • 3–5 years in FP&A, financial consulting, or corporate finance (preferably SaaS or software)
  • Proficiency with Excel/Sheets modeling, waterfall charts, variance analysis
  • Strong understanding of SaaS unit economics and financial KPIs
  • Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce (especially Sales Cloud or AppExchange business models)
  • Exposure to private equity, portfolio companies, or M&A finance
  • Experience using financial planning tools (e.g., Mosaic, Cube, NetSuite, QuickBooks, ChartMogul)
  • Understanding of regional compliance considerations (EU, US) a plus
